Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and anything you include in your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar technologies, provided by our website platform, HubSpot. They record things like your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived at our site.
How we use it
We use this information to:
- respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about our services
- understand how visitors use our site, so we can improve it
- keep our site secure and working properly
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies
Our site uses HubSpot cookies for analytics and to connect form submissions to site visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work as intended without them.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us run our business, such as HubSpot, which hosts our website and stores contact form submissions. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact information as long as needed to respond to you and maintain our business relationship, or as the law requires. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email steve@scarecrowinteractive.com and we’ll respond promptly.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take care to protect your data.
Google user data (Marketing Engine)
Marketing Engine is Scarecrow’s internal reporting application. With the account holder’s authorization, it reads data from Google services: Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Search Console.
- What we access: read-only reporting data, such as traffic, search and advertising performance, for accounts we manage or that our clients have authorized us to report on.
- How we use it: only to produce analytics and reporting for the account owner who authorized access. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
- How we store it: on Scarecrow’s own systems. We share it only with the client the reporting is prepared for, or when the law requires it.
- Revoking access: you can remove Marketing Engine’s access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Scarecrow Interactive’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Children’s privacy
Our site and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
